Date of Death: March 25, 2023

Edison, NJ

In the early hours of March 25th, 2023, Deborah Stanislawczyk lost her decade-long battle with ovarian cancer at only sixty-seven years young. Deborah is well remembered for her love of animals and family, fighting spirit, love of chicken parmesan (dry chicken with extra sauce on the side), and her beautiful smile. After fighting bravely for ten years, she can finally be at peace. She was born Deborah Ellen Lettieri on February 14, 1956  to her parents, Alfred and Margot Lettieri, in Cambria Heights, New York.  The only daughter, she grew up with her two brothers, Brian and Alfred. Deborah spent her childhood in Old Tappan, New Jersey. She was a lover of animals from a young age, an avid horseback rider boasting many medals and awards, and a photography enthusiast. She graduated from Northern Valley High School in 1974 and went on to gain her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Montclair State University in 1978. As a young woman, she put her hard-earned biology degree to work as a sterilization control analyst at Howmedica before becoming a dedicated, full-time mother in the mid-1980s. In 1979 she met the love of her life, Frank Stanislawczyk at the Elizabeth Armory in New Jersey. She and Frank married in 1983 and went on to have three children: Frank, Chris, and Jessica as well as many fur-children in their marriage of almost forty years. Deborah is survived by her husband Frank; her sons Frank and Chris; her daughter Jessica; her daughter-in-law Mallory; her three grandchildren Kyleigh, Chase, and Olivia; her mother Margot, and her brothers Alfred and Brian and his wife Doreen. In addition, countless lucky animals have been rescued thanks to the efforts of Deborah and Frank over the years. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Royce Brook Golf Club in Hillsborough, NJ beginning at 4:00PM ET. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Villalobos Rescue Center (Life 4 Paws) via the Deborah Stanislawczyk Animal Rescue Memorial Fund at https://gofund.me/f5167272.
